MATTHEW NOZAKI, PHD

LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST

Dr. Nozaki is a licensed psychologist (PSY 35140). He served in the United States Marine Corps prior to working in the mental health profession and earned both his Master’s and Doctorate in Psychology from Walden University. He enjoys helping people in all aspects of life. He has volunteered for a hospital in Southern California where he worked in the Emergency Room to provide emotional support to recently admitted patients, as well as helping hospitalized individuals cope with the stressors of being inpatient.

Dr. Nozaki is passionate about teaching and demonstrating the importance of mental health, and he wishes to help people achieve the happiness that they deserve in their lives by lending a compassionate and listening ear using acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). He also wants to assist with the process by providing the tools and education necessary for people to achieve their highest potential. He utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to treat individual suffering from anxiety, depression, and other difficulties that people might struggle with. Dr. Nozaki provides therapy to individuals of all ages as well as comprehensive psychological, psycho-educational, and developmental testing for the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and learning disabilities.
