Mariely (Alex) Godoy, BA

PRACTICUM TRAINEE

Mariely works under the supervision of Dr. Rachel Kwon (PSY33823), performing therapy and psychological testing for clients of all ages. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at California State University, San Marcos. She is pursuing her PsyD in Clinical Psychology, with a concentration in children and adolescents, at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Anaheim Campus.

Mariely has experience working as a Registered Behavior Technician providing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children and adolescents diagnosed with autism, ADHD, down syndrome, and Angelman Syndrome in home and school settings. Additionally, she gained experience and knowledge working alongside with speech and occupational therapists while applying ABA therapy.

Mariely demonstrated an interest in working with underprivileged communities, children, and adolescents, creating a safe and inviting environment where they can feel comfortable and free to express themselves.  She continuously seeks to expand her knowledge and experience as she strives to provide the best, most compassionate, and effective care that she can offer. Furthermore, she is bilingual in Spanish and aspires to learn more languages, starting with American Sign Language.
